aUtOdiDakTs first 12“ single „Shit your rack“ comes to make a bang! After his Ep 2004
and the following contributions to the „Traktor Pushing“ series no one could expect
something like this stylistically as a precursor from his debut album coming next spring...In
contrary to his more laid-back early works, „Shit your rack“ is a full throttle peaktime clubbanger!
Without neglecting his Breakbeat background he delivers an up-to-date distortion
bomb with pop-appeal that sounds a bit like Justice would take an attempt to bring back
HipHop and Breakbeat influences back into nowadays Electro and New Rave scene.
Accompanied by remixes from Proxy (Turbo Recordings), Wiesel & Captain Koma (Boogie
Army, Ruff Dog Recordings, Viperjive, Powder & Louder) and Funkanomics (Rocstar
Records) plus a self-remix as digital-only bonus track this package truly delivers.
Proxy (Yevgeny Alexandrovitch Pozharnov from Moscow) may be Russias biggest export
these days besides Oil, Gas and Vodka and he might also be one of the most innovative
producers this decade has blossomed yet! With three massive 12“ releases on Turbo
Recordings (Decoy, Destroy, Dance in dark) he established his unique style with the speed
of light on dancefloors worldwide and in sets of the biggest Djs (such as Soulwax, Erol
Alkan, Tiga, Justice just to name a few). Soon remixes for Chromeo, Boys Noize, Moby ,
Digitalism and aUtOdiDakT (!) (in this particular order and getting better steadily) followed
and while he is touring the world right now, everyone is waiting for his new single Raven
and the forthcoming album dropping this autumn on Turbo. His uncompromising sound
combines aesthetics of classic 90s Hardstep-Drum&Bass and Rave records with
nowadays clubtempo, distortion, a almost minimal attitude when it comes to arrangement
and massive basslines which seem to come straight from the future. The result is always a
perfect peaktime club-banger creating euphoria and disturbance at the same time. This is
also what you can expect from his „Shit your rack“ Remix! A membrane-melting bassline,
ravy squeaks, a jawdropping middle-break and a punchy beat satisfying Electro-, Breaks-,
Techno- and Rave-floors simultaneously to the max. Nothing less...
Both Funkanomics and Wiesel & Captain Koma (of Boogie Army fame) are Germany’s
foremost breakbeat exponents and deliver huge interpretations of the original too!
Funkanomics are signed to Rocstar Records (UK), the label of big beat pioneer Cut la Roc
and strip down the original to a headbanging stomper using nice percussion and organ
breaks infiltrated by a funky distorted b-line and a pumping groove. Works on any Breaksaudience
and in any Breaks-set from funky to techy. Pure sex on the dancefloor! Wiesel &
Captain Koma is the collaboration between two of the busiest producers and Djs in the
breaks-game right now. Captain Koma is the producer of Boogie Army (Westway,
Genepole, Ibreaks, etc. DJ-Mag: „next level of breakbeat!“) and besides his production
and tours for the Army he found the time to team-up with his old mate Wiesel (Ruff Dog,
Viperjive, Hell Yeah) to do a blasting electro-breaks remix of „Shit your rack“ that starts
funky like a Fingerlickin’ Records A-side and grows deeper and nastier as it progresses. A
perfect transition for a set ranging from Breaks to Electro, 100% audience-approved!
In combination, this package will please heads from all kinds of electronic genres!
It’s contemporary, forward-thinking and has got crossover- and pop-appeal, simply a 10.
Already heavily rinsed by Djs like Malente (Fools Gold, Exploited), Steve Aoki (Dim Mak),
Don Rimini (Mental Groove), Ben Mono (Compost), Kissy Sell Out (Cheap Thrills, BBC 1),
Tiga, Thomas von Party and the whole Turbo Crew, RQM (Exploited), Tanith (Tresor
Berlin) and of course Proxy, Boogie Army, Wiesel & Captain Koma and the
Funkanomics...but promos were not even sent-out yet!!! So expect a lot more big names to
