"Sounds of Us" - 5 Japanese analogue sound artists 5 sound pieces

The "Sounds of Us" recording is a compilation of five Japanese sound related fine artists from different generations. The publication came out as side project of an exhibition with the same title organized in Budapest from 2015 December till 2016 February in the Trafó House. The tracks are following the sound definitions by the artists, giving a journey in environmental sounds with musical meanings. Yukio Fujimoto recorded the sound of wind-blown plastic tubes on a roof-top, Tetsuya Umeda - many times invited to music festivals - gave us a sound recording of a performance, and Lyota Yagi refers to John Cage's 4'33" with recording the buzz of a micro wave oven for the same length on the A side. On B we can hear a house like composition related to UJINO-s sound making machine, while the fluxus artist Tatsumi Orimoto is singing a Beethoven tune for his own performance.
The release was cut strictly in 150 copies on transparent vinyl. The silk screened sleeve is numbred, designed by János Fodor.
